Should I drive my old petrol car till it dies, or go electric now?
About twice a week someone starts a conversation with me by saying: "Hey Rutger, you do something with cars, don't you?" In 99 out of 100 cases, this is followed by a request to help think about purchasing a new car. The other case is someone who thinks they can get a free car through me. I am always happy to help the first 99.
Which car?
Because a lot of questions seem to be the same, I'm sharing my search on this Auto.Correct mailinglist. You can read along, reread, laugh at others because they absolutely want a blue car, or a Volvo, or a van to turn into a camper.
Why ask Rutger?
Why should you be getting advice from me? I am a white man and therefore have an opinion. But I have also been testing cars for tech platform Bright since 2010. With a strong emphasis (and preference) for electric cars in recent years. So I have spent many hours behind the wheel of a seemingly endless list of cars. I have also learned the word TCO (total cost of ownership) and can handle Excel.
So send in your question.
Are you on the fence about buying a car? Send a message and I will try and help.
